The Dept. of Film and Television takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study and practice of media and technology. Dynamic and innovative, this dept. integrates both the academic and industry approaches into its degree program. These include a critical analysis of media; the impacts and assessment of new technology; the nature of new media; film and television theories, digital communication; hands-on production and analysis of media. The Film and Television department aims to help students assess their strengths, skills and confidence and become globally competent professionals as well as entrepreneurs of the media industry.
Minimum GPA 2.50/2.00 in both S.S.C and H.S.C equivalent.
Minimum 5 subjects in O-Level and 2 subjects in A-Level with minimum grade of B in 4 subjects and minimum grade C in 3 subjects.

Program Name: Bachelor of Arts in Film & Television
The duration of the course is 4 (four) academic years.
There will be 3 semesters in 1 academic year.
Total Credit Hours Requirement (126 + 3)
The Program consists of 126 credits with Internship [without English Fundamentals Course] and 129 Credits with Internship [with English Fundamentals Course]
Candidates with less than 60% marks in English, at his/her admission test will be required to complete English Fundamental course at the start of semester.
Duration of Lectures will be 120 minutes, and there will be 24 lectures in each semester.
Film Screening and Analysis and LAB class will be held once a week, class duration will be 2 hours.
The program will be conducted through trimester system. There will be three trimesters every academic year. Students will be offered courses every trimester, after they pass the pre-requisite courses they will be allowed to register for the next course.
