The Research Assistants and Student Ambassadors of Department of EEE & CSE, Canadian University of Bangladesh arranged a day long workshop on “Robo Tech Leadership Program- Let us make a Robot” at “Saradeshwari Girls High School” in last Sunday dated August 31, 2019. This program was attended by nearly 170 students.
Two of the Research Associates, School of Science & Engineering, (1) Md. Rahatul Islam, student from EEE, also the Director of ‘Bangladesh Advanced Robotics Resource Center and (2) Arup Ratan Nath, student from CSE, also Executive Program Director of Advanced Robotics Resource Center, conducted the workshop as trainers.
With a view to focusing, encouraging and inspiring the current young generation in the next generation technical advances, i.e. robotics and artificial intelligence, Canadian University of Bangladesh and Advanced Robotics Resource Center aim to create four tech expert from the High School and College level from each district of Bangladesh starting with Dinajpur.
At the last session of the workshop, both the trainers, showed students the Android Control Robot, Obstacle Robot, Decision on Temperature control and how to program to change the direction on graphical user interfaces.
The workshop ends with a quiz competition followed by the introduction of research, innovation and Commercialization cells in Canadian University of Bangladesh, i.e. Smart City Planning Cell, IoT & Big Data Cell, Advanced Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Cell to the students. The Brand Ambassadors and Research Assistants of the University conveyed the message from the Dean, School of Science and Engineering, Dr. MD Shahrukh Adnan Khan, MIET, FERC, to the students to join Canadian University of Bangladesh and be a part of the next generation technological advancements. Also, the Dean of the Engineering School agreed to provide support and facility in the near future from the Canadian University of Bangladesh to introduce research in high school level at every part of the country.
